Wowow...well done SofiaTd......a very very powerful selection, your chosen songs played a significant role in the development of rock 'n' roll. It was also a huge leap for female singers to defy the typical stereotype of being submissive to men then, expressing their independence in the melodies they crafted. Interesting enough at that time, jukeboxes and dance halls were considered the most important outlets for the music artists in measuring the popularity of their songs amongst the younger generation of listeners, as many radio stations resisted adding rock and roll…..till the King showed up at their doors.
